First, let me apologize for the lateness of this post, and second, let me present the masterlist for Challenge Two!
Sonnet XVII
Pablo Neruda -
I do not love you as if you were salt-rose, or topaz,
Or the arrow of carnations the fire shoots off.
I love you as certain dark things are to be loved,
In secret, between the shadow and the soul.
I love you as the plant that never blooms but carries in
Itself the light of hidden flowers;
Thanks to your love a certain solid fragrance,
Risen from the earth, lives darkly in my body.
I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where.
I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride;
So I love you because I know no other way
I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where.
I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride;
So I love you because I know no other way
That this: where I does not exist, nor you,
So close that your hand on my chest is my hand,
close that your eyes close as I fall asleep.
+ Self-destruction; or The Love that Never Blooms if You Bury It by
lily_268 (Ned/Chuck, R)
She remembers the wet feel of the slippery grass between her toes as she watched him fall and for a moment, she wants him to know what it’s like to lose the thing you love most. So she left.
+ The Lives We Lead by
ellowyntinuviel (Chuck/Olive, NC-17)
No one knows who we are and no one knows the lives we lead…in secret, between the shadow and the soul.
+ Le Lezioni (The Lessons) by
oceaneyed8 (Ned/Chuck, R)
And in an alternate reality, she should not be realizing any of these things because Ned would be sexing her not-dead-again body against the pantry door.
+ Anyway We Can by
pieholer (Ned/Chuck, R)
Over time, the Piemaker had gotten used to the sudden jolt, the instantaneous pulse of energy that accompanied bringing someone back to life.
+ From a Distance by
mistress_britt (Ned/Chuck, R)
Their lips hovered dangerously close together.
